Apartment in Les Gets, a skiing, mountain biking and walking centre in the Portes du Soleil area of the French Alps, which is linked to Morzine and Avoriaz.

The apartment on the upper floor

The apartment is in an attractive block on a south facing slope in Les Gets (which is an easy hour's drive from Geneva Airport) with a fantastic view. It is on the second floor (or third depending which side of the building you enter by) and is 10-15 minutes walk from the village centre. This is easily done in normal footwear but I suggest that if you are wearing ski boots a 3 minute drive down to the village and lifts is preferable. There is underground and outdoor parking in town. You can also ski (conditions permitting) or drive to Morzine and Avoriaz
There is a private cave for skis etc. You also have access to the apartment's garage - useful for bikes.
As you enter the apartment on your left there is a bathroom (bath/shower and basin) - new shower attachment and curtain - and separate WC.
On your right there is a double bedroom with fitted wardrobe.
You need to take, or rent locally, bed linen and towels. (Duvets and pillows are provided).
Under the stairs on your right there is a hall cupboard, with hanging space, and a fridge and microwave (both new).
In the kitchen and dining area there is a dishwasher, kettle, filter coffee machine and full hob and oven. There is crockery, cutlery and cookware for 6. The table seats 4 but can extend to accommodate 6. There is a double futon in this area. Patio doors lead on to the balcony. There is a TV and DVD player
An open staircase leads up to a mezzanine. On your right at the top of the stairs is a double bed, bedside table and hanging rail; on your left a seating area comprising four easy chairs and coffee table with a games compendium and playing cards. There is another small room off this area which accommodates bunk beds. This room is also useful for storing your luggage.
We have tried to keep the décor simple as some apartments seem stuffed with souvenirs etc and can, I think, feel rather claustrophobic, especially when full of skiers and ski-gear.
We ask that you leave the apartment clean for the next occupants. A cleaning service, if required, is available via the local agents. The apartment is non-smoking and we do not allow pets.
Les Gets has good facilities: a good bakery and butcher's both near the church. There are numerous restaurants in town and many other bars plus two small supermarkets and the usual ski resort shops.

fitted wardrobe. Please bring your own duvet cover and pillow
cases (or rent locally).
Bath/Shower room. (The WC is separate). Under
the basin is a storage cupboard and there are also hooks.Please
bring your own towels
Double bed on mezzanine. There is also a small
separate room that houses bunk beds (not pictured), ideal for
putting the children to bed
